Marking our annual harvest celebration of the food, the farm, and the plate
Dear Friends and Supporters,
We value the time when we can come together with each of you during our annual benefit event, but now is not the time. We wish to hold space for a future celebration.
Now is the time to reflect and act against systemic injustice. Now is the time to strengthen education, healthcare, arts and culture, and access to local food. Now is the time to care for yourself and take care of others. Now is the time to foster creative solutions to solve inequities. The time is now.
We need your help. Together we raise almost $30,000 at this event each year for our interdisciplinary program in the Adirondacks. During this pause we continue our work to support artists, farmers, chefs, writers, scholars, and craftspeople in your community and around the country.
Please support our work to convene creativity for the social good by purchasing your “tickets” today for this year’s non-event event.
This year, let Saturday, September 19th mark a day of honoring you - and all you can do to change the world for good!
Although we are asking for your support this year without an event, you will still receive a care package from us — a token of our thanks and our work.
100% of the proceeds benefit artists, chefs, farmers, craftspeople, scholars, and writers through creative residencies, educational programs, and social justice initiatives.
Honoring YOU in 2020. This year we celebrate you and all you can do to change the world for good. Help us nurture the creativity in our communities and leverage that dynamic to bring about real social change.
The GARDAN Special Edition
All "guests" to this year's Dinner (not) in the Field will receive a special edition, print copy of Craigardan's new journal, The Gardan.
This monthly arts journal continues to foster the creative engagement and cross-pollination at the heart of our place-based residency program. The Gardan helps artists generate exposure and income at a time of widespread struggle and acts as a vital, enduring beacon for our region's creative economy. It enables us to continue to consider together the issues of social justice and cultural access that are central to our mission and to this current moment. The Gardan is a care package and a conduit, collaboratively manifesting a place to gather when we are unable to physically come together. It is our arts incubator and community developer delivered through the mail.
