The Food Justice Working Group presents:
A Talk and Lunch with Professor Margot Pollans
Agriculture is the single largest land use in the United States. Choices about how we farm thus have significant consequences for air, water, and biodiversity. And yet federal environmental law largely ignores agriculture, treating it as a special case. In this talk, environmental law professor Margot Pollans will provide an overview of this agricultural exceptionalism. She will also situate this overview in the context of the environmental movement and the more recent food movement and discuss the role of the farm bill in agroenvironmental regulation.
FREE! This event is sponsored by the Essex Farm Institute and Craigardan
A Light lunch is provided. To help us plan for lunch, Please RSVP by emailing info@craigardan.org
