Join us for an artist talk and gallery opening with Amanda Palmer, place-based artist-in-residence and Teaching Fellow.
"I am driven to create the things I see because they stir my soul… Studying my subjects intently, and in a way living inside of them during the creative process, brings a deep joy to me. I seek a glimpse into the souls of our world through my wanderings and hope to portray them in my drawings, prints and photographs. I aim to express the flashes of wonder I experience in and from the natural world and human power sites such as ancient ruins – to convey the force of the wind, flora, fauna, history – and the underlying spirit that touches our souls when we spend long hours in nature and in National Parks of all kinds."
